SEASON

Rumors
by Neil Simon
Farce - PG (for adult language)

Co-Produced by Critical Path Strategies

Directed by Patty Loftis

What's supposed to be a 10th anniversary celebration for Charley and Myra rapidly declines into an evening of disaster and deceit when the guests arrive.  Through the course of the evening, the secret inevitably
slips out to the other couples.  Rumors run rampant as they try to piece together the sordid events of the evening.  Did Charley discover Myra
had been having an affair?  Did Myra discover Charley had been fooling around?  Worse yet - could one of the adulterers be here among them?  When the police arrive on the scene, nothing but an all-out improvisation can possibly create an illusion of normalcy for a
hilarious evening that's put everyone through the ringer.

September 14 - 30, 2007

The Dining Room
by A. R. Gurney
Comedy/Drama - PG

Co-Produced by
Methodist Boerne Emergency Center

Directed by Christine Godin

The play is set in the dining room of a typical well-to-do household
the place where the family assembled daily for breakfast and dinner
and for any and all special occasions. The action is comprised of a
mosaic of interrelated scenes—some funny, some touching, some rueful—which, taken together, create an in-depth portrait of a vanishing species: the upper-middle-class WASP. The actors change roles, personalities and ages with virtuoso skill as they portray a wide variety
of characters, from little boys to stern grandfathers, and from giggling teenage girls to Irish housemaids.  Dovetailing swiftly and smoothly,
the varied scenes coalesce, ultimately, into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor and abundant humanity.

  November 2-17, 2007

2007 is the 25th Anniversary of The Dining Room!

The Gin Game
by D. L. Coburn
Tragicomedy - PG (some adult language)

Co-Produced by Jefferson Bank

Directed by Don Barton

This winner of the 1978 Pulitzer Prize, which originally starred Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronin and revived in 1999 with Julie Harris and Charles Durning, uses a game as a metaphor for life. Weller Martin is playing solitaire on the porch of a seedy nursing home. Enter Fonsia Dorsey, a prim, self righteous lady. They discover they both dislike the home and enjoy gin rummy so they begin to play and to reveal intimate details of their lives. Fonsia wins every time and their secrets become weapons used against one another.

by Flip Koburn and Cindy Marcus
Comedy - PG

Morningside Ministries

 Directed by Larry Beauchamp

Bethany has brought her fiance', Floyd, and his mother, Verna, up to her cabin in the woods, the site of the hunting accident that killed Chance, her first husband.  Much to her consternation, he or rather, his ghost is still there.  Only Bethany can see him, so Floyd and Verna think she is crazy as she frantically tries to get rid of, well, it seems to them nobody.  Chance, meanwhile, is doing everything he can to prevent Bethany from marrying Floyd.  Bethany even brings in a delightfully kooky psychic to help deal with the ghost of Chance.

A Little Off the Top
by Carl Williams
Comedy - PG

Co-Produced by Kendall County Air

Directed by Keisha McFerrin

With the help of a toupee salesman, Steve and Jerry, two

time-share the toupee by taking turns wearing it. The new toupee gives Steve and Jerry a confidence boost, and they soon meet two lovely ladies.
Romance is in the air until both girlfriends show up at Jerry and Steve’s house at the same time. With two bald men and just one toupee, things
